PROFESSIONAL HISTORY

1024 Consulting, Inc.,   President/Consultant    May 2001 — Present

Client: Visa Debit Processing Services (DPS)

Project Name: Consumer WCAG & PED Smart Client
Technologies: C#, ASP.NET 2.0, Windows Forms, SQL Server 2005, WCAG 2.0, Web Services
Responsibilities:

  • Assisted in the redesign and the .NET 2.0 conversions of all of Visa DPS's Prepaid consumer websites, which service over 30 million cardholders, to adhere to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0. The guidelines published by W3C are to make web content accessible, primarily for disabled users who require special software or devices, in addition to a standard web browser to access the web. This multimillion dollar project followed a Model-View-Controller (MVC) architecture which heavily used partial classes and generics.
  • Collaborated in converting my client's configuration tool to customize their websites, PED, from a .NET 1.0 intranet web application to a .NET 2.0 Windows application. This ClickOnce deployment application also followed a Model-View-Controller (MVC) architecture that relied upon publish/subscribe event architecture and asynchronous Web Services calls whenever retrieving or uploading large amounts of data.
  • Created NANT and CruiseControl scripts to support continuous code integration.

Client: CreekPath Systems

Project Name: CreekPath Information Portal (CIP)
Technologies: C#, ASP.NET 1.1, ADO.NET, NUnit, SQL Server 2000, Oracle, Crystal Reports
Responsibilities:

  • Architected and coded the CreekPath Information Portal (CIP). This flexible ASP.NET 1.1 portal allowed my client's customers to create user-specific customizable views to their Storage Area Network's (SAN) data. These views consist of on-line grids/charts/graphs and parameterized reports.
  • Worked with client's Chief Architect to design, code, and performance tune all of the reports within the portal.
  • Handled all tier-two customer support calls and sales support operations for CIP.

Client: Corporate Express

Project Name: Performance Testing
Technologies: Mercury Interactive LoadRunner, Rational Robot, C, WebMethods, Oracle
Responsibilities:

  • Saved client millions of dollars in licensing and consulting fees by performance and load testing their new order entry website under realistic load conditions. Performance testing scripts and scenarios were used to prove to website vendor that their architecture could not meet Corporate Express's performance and scalability requirements.
  • Prevented disruption of client's warehouse operations by performance and load testing new WebMethods' B2B/EAI architecture between the OLTP system and Corporate Express's warehouse systems. The tests showed that a scheduled performance enhancement needed to be released earlier than planned so the warehouses would not be affected by this interface change.
